A group of around 80 CSKA Moscow supporters were thrown out of last night's Champions League match at Manchester City.
Fans of the Russian club were banned from the clash by Uefa following a series of offences including racist chanting.
Dozens defied the restriction but were quickly spotted by home supporters at the Etihad Stadium.
Stewards asked the group to leave and they did so. No arrests were made.
The flashpoint occurred when striker Seydou Doumbia scored his second goal to give CSKA e a 2-1 lead. As no criminal offences had been committed police left the issue to the club.
The CSKA fans complied with the request and left the stadium.
CSKA supporters had been banned for three home games (which was reduced to two after an appeal) and two away Champions League matches.
However, around 300 supporters were present at their home match against City at the Arena Khimki - something which prompted an angry response from City captain Vincent Kompany.
Tickets for Wednesday's match had gone on open sale but were not sold to anyone with Russian addresses or email addresses.
CSKA triumphed 2-1 in a bad tempered affair in which two City players were sent off and left the Manchester club bottom of the group.
