Rooney could miss the upcoming Manchester Derby

Wayne Rooney may not be fit enough to play in the upcoming Manchester Derby on Saturday after he was reportedly seen limping at a promotional event.
The United captain is supposed to be playing his first game after finishing his three-match ban against rivals Manchester City but seems to be a major doubt, according to reports.
His absence will further add to Louis Van Gaal’s woes who is looking to continue his four-match unbeaten run against City on Saturday.
Fellow United striker Radamel Falcao was also absent during Chelsea’s game but the Dutchman believes that the Colombian could feature in the game against their rivals.
Rooney reportedly injured himself during training and later attended a promotional event at Old Trafford. Van Gaal has previously voiced his concern about the club’s promotional events having a negative effect on the players and it seems he does have a point.
However, new signing Luke Shaw appears to be excited about the possibility of Rooney making a surprise return on Saturday.
“It's a massive boost for us to have him back," Shaw said.
"It's something I think he's looking forward to. Wayne hates sitting on the sidelines watching.
"That goal (in 2011) was an unbelievable goal in a match that big. It was something special."
